PREVIEW
The Houston Cougars, 3 point underdogs at home. Sounds weird eh? It's not. This team are in serious trouble. Look back at last weeks result and you'll know what I mean.
The Houston Cougars lost QB Case Keenum, who was getting them 600 yards per game and about 50 points per game, and the results were catastrophic, as they opened their season at home last week against Texas State, a team just beginning in the FBS, and got drilled 30-13!
The Houston defence allowed 248 yards on the ground last week while rushing for just 115 themselves. The new QB, David Piland was very unimpressive, and it's worth pointing out that of his 211 passing yards, 64 came on one throw. He went just 17 of 44 in the end, with a single TD. Just not good enough.
Remember, last year LaTech played Houston, and even then Houston had to score 28 unanswered points in the 2nd half to win the game, and only just, 35-34! Keenum isn't there to help this side, which couldn't get it done against Texas State. They're going to get ripped to shreds by LaTech!
And yeah, LaTech haven't played this season. This is their opener. And they know they have a chance to enter Robertson Stadium and humiliate the hell out of their hosts. How many players have you heard of that wouldn't milk that chance?
BETTING VERDICT
Take the visitors giving up 3 points as this could well get very, very ugly!
