The ridiculous odds make this look the mother of all trap games and if we lose this you can bet anyone even teasing this to their advantage will also have lost. But, I'm sticking with my fundamentals and betting Georgia to win this game on the road over Missouri.
Georgia won 45-23 last week against visiting Buffalo, and that is not an impressive scoreline at all, which is why on the road they are just 1.5 point favs. Missouri is now in the SEC, where the big boys play, and they are in for a shock when Georgia hit them.
You see, I don't think it's even been considered by Joe Public that Georgia were playing last weeks opener with one eye on this game. There was no need to go hell for leather against Buffalo, but they still won by 22 points! That's over 3 TDs! Keep in mind, Georgia have now won 11 straight regular season games in a row. Only LSU boast a better streak, at 14.
Missouri did not have to work at all in winning 61-10 against Southern Louisiana, who are an FCS team. If anything, it will work against them here. It's like benching the sh*t out of an empty barbell before someone loads 50Kgs on each end and leaves you to it, almost taking your head off.
Georgia had a solid game last week, with QB Aaron Murray combining with receiver Tavarres Ling for 117 yards on 6 catches for a score. Murray had 258 yards in total and 3 scores, 1 of which went to Michael Bennett.
Misouri aren't crap, that's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying they will not be prepared for what they are about to have to deal with. Expect a close game, no doubt, but Georgia are the better side and with just 1.5 points the spread, after giving 3 to Mizz for home field advantage, I think we know what the pick is.
