Written off by the bookies at League leaders Wycombe on Saturday, County surprised and really should have won the game (at 7/1). They led until the dying seconds and had been unlucky not to finish the game off.
Local hero Jim Gannon is the man behind County’s turn-around and they are now unbeaten in 5 after a five game losing streak had finally put paid to his predecessor.
County’s home form this season has actually been pretty strong, they have lost only twice in 13 at Edgeley Park. It is their away form and an amazing knack of drawing at home that has put them where they are today.
Tuesday sees them take on fellow strugglers Torquay in a game that could propel them out of relegation and into a climb to safety.

Like County it is largely their poor away form that has led them into difficulties. They currently have no manager, with caretaker, John Cornforth, in charge.
Torquay can score goals, but unfortunately for them their opponents usually manage 1 more! They did seem to be improving, but have now lost 3 of the last 5 games.
This fact alone leads me towards a bet on the OVER 2.5 goals. Torquay will be jittery seeing County’s new-found self-belief and will have seen them take on the leaders on their own turf and give them a fright.
