2009-06-27 - Kamaz Nab Chelny vs Ural Ekaterinburg

Football: Russia, Russian 1st Division
Saturday 27th June 2009 - Kickoff 15:00
Kamaz Nab Chelny (5th - Home 5-3-0 15:5)
Kamaz knows that another win against promotion candidates Ural today, will get them back into competition for the top two positions.
The 2-1 victory over Sibir’ proved a very tight one, as Kamaz had to hold the narrow advantage under constant pressure from the visiting side. Novosibirsk head coach Kriushenko traditionally blamed the referees at the press-conference for favoring Kamaz, while he must have forgotten that a special committee proved that both of Sibir’s goals against Anzhi were incorrect.
Kamaz will hope their undefeated run of games in Naberezhnie Chelni will continue against Ural. The anticipated return of Malawi striker Iso Kanienda was postponed on Sibir as he was given a rest after the flight from African continent. But on Saturday he could be given the start instead of Kobialko. Midfielder Andrey Perov is coming back to the line-up after missing the tie against Sibir through suspension.
Ural Ekateringburg (6th - away : 2-3-3 9:11)
The last time Ural Ekaterinburg was defeated on the road was back in April, when they lost to Metallurg Lipetsk. Since then Ekaterinburg club has recorded 5 unbeaten matches, most recently drawing against last-placed Volga Nizhniy Novgorod 1-1.
Ural never looked the better side during that game, and converted the only real goal-scoring opportunity of the match. Vladimir Shishelov produced another great finish to establish himself as the championship’s top goal-scorer.
Ekaterinburg will look to end the draw syndrome of the away matches, as another game with shared points would be a 4th one in a row for Ural. Team’s head coach Pobegalov is still on vacation, as he was handed a rest by the club’s president. It seems as though this decision has influenced the squad not in the right way.
Ural doesn’t have an impressive record against top-teams in the current season, as they have lost to all promotion candidates except for Shinnik. The 1-2 win in Yaroslavl back in May had sent Shinnik’s head coach Alexandr Pavlov to the exit door.
The Betting advice :
Kamaz is simply in better form at the moment.
Add the extra-ordinary undefeated streak of Ural on the road, absence of normal head coach on the bench and low morale of the players who understand that promotion is out of the question this season.
