2008-12-07 - Dallas Cowboys at Pittsburgh Steelers
A Sports Betting Pick by Dogg
Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
Sunday December 7th, 2008 - Kickoff 4:15 PM ET.
Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3 SU, 4-2 home, 6-6 ATS)
The Steelers have had a season that to me is remarkable.
They have the toughest schedule in the NFL, they have been playing with their quarterback hurt most of the season, they have gone with their third string quarterback most of the year.
Pittsburgh have only one returning starter from last year on the offensive line, that has had its share of injuries also but after all that the Steelers still have the second best record in the conference.
Now all of the problems are over, players have recovered and are healthy, and the weather is getting cold and sloppy, which is Steeler weather.
Dallas Cowboys (8-4 SU, 3-3 Road, 6-6 ATS)
The Cowboys are healthy now too with QB Tony Romo back and playing well.
But NO offense plays well against the Steelers, especially in Pittsburgh, in December.
The Verdict
This line of -3 is basically means it's an even game with home field being the difference and I don’t think the Cowboys are as good as the Steelers.
Defense is what it’s all about in the NFL and that’s what’s going to decide this game. The Steelers are the #1 defense in the league, not only #1 overall, but #1 in almost every category.
They haven’t given up 300 yards in total offense to any team all season, and remember they have the toughest schedule in the league.
The Steelers will win this game.
Best of Luck
