Analysis:A.C Milan knows that even a win here would not guarantee them a plac ein the Champions League and must hope that Torino can do them a favour in their match against Fiorentina and they do their part and beat a Udinese side that have nothing to play for in their final match.
Despite at one stage being higher than Fiorentina after beating Inter Milan in the Milan derby match, they were brought down to earth after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Napoli in their last match which means their place in the Champions League hangs in the balance now.
If they fail to secure a place in the Champions League and have to settle for a UEFA Cup place than it will make a big difference when they are bringing in players when the transfer window opens in the summer.
Palermo striker Amauri has already given clear indications he will only join a side that is playing Champions League football next season. Other top footballers hoping to make the switch will no doubt share the same view. If Milan are to bounce back from a poor season then they must finish in fourth place otherwise it will take another year with an aging squad.
As for Udinese they have already secured a place in the UEFA Cup and has no chance of playing in the Champions League any longer. Their inconsistency have cost them a place in the Champions League no doubt.
In their last match Udinese were beaten by Cagliari and seems to have already started their holidays. The likes of Fabio Quagliarella and Antonio Di Natale are playing for places in the Euro 2008 so they will hope to give in a good performances here.
The last time they met in week 19, Milan edge it with a 1-0 win thanks to an injury goal by Alberto Gilardino. But at the San Siro last season Udinese were the winners after edging it 2-3. Mian had however in the past won by margins of 3-0, 4-0 and 5-1.
A.C Milan will be without the likes of players such as Ronaldo, Paolo Maldini, Nelson Dida and Emerson who are out with injuries. Also they are without Alessandro Nesta and Gennaro Gattuso after receiving bookings in the 3-1 defeat to Napoli. Pippo Inzaghi will be expected to be the lone striker here with Alexander Pato waiting on the bench.
Udinese also have a long injury list that includes the likes of Christian Obodo, Gyan Asamoah, Diaz Felipe, Damiano Ferronetti, Chilean midfielder Mauricio Isla and Brazilian defender Guilherme Siqueira.
