Analysis:

Inter Milan will travel to Parma knowing that a win by any margin will guarantee them the Scudetto winning it on the last day of the season from the hands of A.S Roma who are trailing them by a point behind. It will not be an easy match though as Parma are battling to stay in Serie A and only a win would rescue them provided that Catania do not get a draw against A.S Roma.

Despite a 11 point lead at one stage over A.S Roma they have let that lead to slip and they will be kicking themselves after the draw against Siena last weekend which could have seen them celebrate the win at home in front of their fans. A late penalty miss by Marco Materazzi in that same match didn't help them either. Now they have their fate in their own hands here as they need a win here and even if Roma wins their match they will still be Champions.

Roberto Mancini is expected to keep the same side that drew against Siena, even though Materazzi stole the penalty from Julio Cruz in the dying minutes only to miss the shot sparking crazy scenes after that. One change which we will see which is forced by injury is that we will see Dejan Stankovic come back into the side to replace Esteban Cambiasso who picked up a late injury in that match. The likes of Luis Figo and Santiago Solari will not even feature on the bench which means that they have played their last game for the club.

As for Parma they need to win this match if they hope to stay in Serie A, it is as simple as that. Even so, if Catania get a surprise result against A.S Roma that means they are finished. President Tommaso Ghirardi surprisingly sacked Coach Hector Cuper after their defeat to Fiorentina after he won just two of the 10 matches since taking over. Andrea Manzo, the club’s youth team Coach has taken control of the team temporarily.

Manzo is unlikely to make much changes here as Marco Rossi and Daniele Dessena are both absent with suspensions after picking up bookings against Fiorentina. McDonald Mariga is another player who got booked which means that Andrea Gasbarroni will come into the side to replace him. Fernando Couto is likely to return to the starting likeup after serving his suspension to replace Giulio Falcone and Luca Parravicini is set to come in for Luca Cigarini.

Last season Parma lost to Inter but it took a late goal from Julio Cruz. However it must be noted that before that they had won two of the previous three matches between the sides and they have only lost twice to Inter in front of their own fans since the turn of century. Inter Milan will not want to be reminded that the last time Inter had the Scudetto within touching distance on the final day, they went to Lazio and slipped to an unforgettable 4-2 defeat.

But Inter Milan will make up from the draw against Siena last week as it is unlikely that they will go three games without a win!
