Analysis:

The Red Devils make the short trip to North West Wigan managed by former Manchester United Captain Steve Bruce knowing that a win would surely guarantee them the title here as they are seperated by goal difference with Chelsea at the top.

As United have a superior goal difference than Chelsea they just need a win here to claim their 10th Premiership title and defend their title they won last year, at the expense of Chelsea.

Sir Alex Ferguson players have a good record with Wigan as in their last 20 meetings they have won every clash between these two sides and have scored a massive 20 goals and conceded just 3 times.

However United must be wary that Wigan is being managed by Steve Bruce who is a former Manchester United Captain and they have been harder to break down in recent times.Wigan will also be hoping that their home advantage at the JJB Stadium will come to their rescue here.

With regards to the team news, even though Wayne Rooney is now fit, he is unlikely to be risked here as Sir Alex Ferguson wants him to be fit for the Champions League final against Chelsea on 21st May. Wayne Rooney has aggravated a hip injury in the defeat to Chelsea and has not played since. Nemanja Vidic will be hoping to be fit for this match to provide more strength to the backline. Nani is out for this match after his red card against West Ham.

As for the home side, they will miss the services of winger Kevin Kilbane as he is suffering from a back problem. With Wigan already assured of safety in the Premiership, Steve Bruce will rest the Republic of Ireland International on Sunday. Mario Melchiot and Erik Edman are still missing with injuries, but it will be a tall order for Wigan to extend their unbeaten run to six matches as they are up against Manchester United who will be eager to get the win and the Premiership title that comes with it.

Take Manchester United and give the 1 3/4 ball here.

Cheers and good luck,
Cruiser
