AFL Aussie Rules

2007-07-22 - Kangaroos vs Melbourne Demons

A Sports Betting Pick by Gooner

Kangaroos (10-5) v Melbourne (3-12)

Once again we see the same betting pattern in public minds - when a teams winning then no one can see a cahnge in form.

The Kangaroos come off a good win at Fremantle (albeit against a Freo club that is destructing internally) - and Melbourne have lost heavily to Brisbane ...

So that means the result is a -20 point handicap for the next Kangaroo fixture despite the fact that Melbourne have gone 3-3 in their last six games.

Perhaps the Kangaroos 9-2 run does signify that they're worth that advantage but the Roos only snuck a late win but a single point (79-78) when they beat the Demons back in round 9 ... and the Demons have improved markedly since then.

THE VERDICT

Again this 20 point margin seems too big - and although the public are leaping on the Roos - I'll take the underdog Demons here.

BEST BETTING TIP :

Take MELBOURNE +20 PTS to keep this one close again.
