Unlike Serie A Champions Juventus who suffered a defeat in their final match, AC Milan will want to get the win in this match and the third and final Champions League spot when they face relegated Siena in this match.
It has to be said that Milan's last match against AS Roma took the headlines for all the wrong reasons as persistent racist insults from the away fans’ section saw the game halted by referee Gianluca Rocchi. The match did eventually ended in a 0-0 draw and the result leaves Milan needing a win against Siena to ensure they finish above Fiorentina to third spot.
Max Allegri’s future at the club is still uncertain but he would like to leave with his head held high and ensure Milan do not relinquish their European place having held on to it since the first week of March.
Meanwhile, Siena are already relegated and have nothing to play for this match. Siena's relegation was confirmed after the 2-0 loss at Napoli, thus ending their two-year stay in Serie A after being promoted back under Antonio Conte for 2011-12.
Siena's coach Coach Beppe Iachini is not expected to stay when they play in Serie B next season. They have had some good results in the second-half of the season notably beating Inter and Lazio, but with nothing really to play for here it just seems unlikely they will fight for every ball and give Milan a fight.
What is left for Siena is for many of their players to make a final impression in a bid to attract other clubs from Serie A to sign them on, which could be crucial to some of these players not wanting to play in Serie B.
But Milan have everything to play for and with nothing left for Siena the home side can be forgiven if they are already looking forward to their holiday and a return to Serie B.
