Venue: "Stadio Renato Dall'Ara" - Bologna

Bologna (13th W11 D10 L16)
Bologna ended an eight games winless run with a 2-0 success over Parma in the Emilia Derby thanks to goals from Saphir Taider and Davide Moscardelli.
It was Bologna’s first victory in more than two months since their win over Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza. Bologna can now no longer finish below their current 13th place.
They also received the confirmation from coach Stefano Pioli that he has committed his future to the club for at least one more season, which is a good news for their fans.
Pioli could hand more playing time to second string players in this match since the likes of defenders Nicolo Cherubin, Mikael Antonsson and Roger Carvalho, goalkeeper Gianluca Curci and midfielder Lazaros Christodoulopoulos have all been ruled out.
Genoa (17th W8 D13 L16)
Genoa wasn’t able to win their last home match of the season against strugglers Inter Milan (0-0), but the draw was more than enough to secure their Serie A status.
Coach Ballardini did a great job steering Genoa of the relegation zone after a dismal start to the season, but he may not continue with at the club in the upcoming season.
According to gazzetta.it, President Preziosi is considering restoring former Juventus coach Del Neri to the bench at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Genoa will now travel to Bologna for their last match of the season without midfielders Marco Rossi, Cristobal Jorquera and Ruben Olivera who all join defenders Cesare Bovo and Damiano Ferronetti on the injury list.
The Betting Verdict
This is another match between two sides that have already accomplished their objective, so don’t expect to see a great rhythm to the game or a lot of effort from the players.
There will also be a lot of absentees from both sides, so the quality of the match will surely suffer at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
We are once again getting some great odds for a low scoring game, 2.3 for not more than two goals in the last match of the season for these two sides sounds like good value to me, especially considering the fact that Genoa’s have seen under 2.5 goals in six of their last seven games.
Now of course these end of the season games between teams that have nothing to play for are known to be dodgy when it comes to Serie A, so if you decide to bet than it’s preferable to keep the stakes small.
