Match Preview :

This will be the 1,500 and final game which Sir Alex Ferguson will take charge when the Champions takes on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Super Sunday. After announcing his retirement after over 26 years in charge and he marked his last game at Old Trafford with a 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

David Moyes who will take over the reigns as the new Manager for the new season, but just before that the Scot will want to ensure they finish the season with a win and equal their best points return in a Premier League season of 91 and the club do have a good record against West Brom going into this match.

For the record, in 13 Premier League meetings with West Brom, Manchester United have only failed to win twice and Ferguson has enjoyed victory on all six league visits to The Hawthorns. The Red Devils are also unbeaten away from home since mid-November in the Premier League and will be confident of three points against a West Brom side who has lost back to back games going into this tie.

West Brom started the season well, but then have stuttered since the turn of the year and goes into this match with just one win in eight games. Nevertheless, their current tally of 48 points is their best so far in the Premiership since they gained promotion and Steve Clarke's side will finish the campaign in either their present position of eighth, or ninth at worst.

Team News :

West Bromwich Albion Team News :
Steve Clarke's only injury doubt will be West Brom right-back for this match. The defender picked up a knock in last weekend's defeat by Norwich but does have a chance of recovering in time to start this match.

Captain Chris Brunt returned from injury at Carrow Road with no ill-effects while Marc-Antoine Fortune is available after serving his suspension.

Manchester United Team News :
Ferguson has confirmed Anders Lindegaard will start his final game as Manchester United manager, and Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand will be on the bench. Lindegaard will take over from David de Gea in goal, while Jonny Evans and Phil Jones will play at centre-half.

Ferguson must also decide whether Wayne Rooney is in the right frame of mind to play in his final game after the striker was left out in their final home game after he handed a transfer request.

Prediction:

Go for Manchester United to win and give the 1/2 ball away.
