Inter Milan’s season is going from bad to worse, they’ve just suffered their fourth defeat in five Serie A games to drop to the 8th position.

Inter Milan are now five points behind fifth placed AS Roma and the Nerazzuri fans will probably not see European football at the Sansiro in the upcoming season. That could be a good thing for Inter after all, let’s not forget that Milito for example got injured in a Europa League game against CFR Cluj.
The injury crisis continues at Inter, Stramaccioni will have to field eleven players who don’t inspire much confidence after the recent performances.
Lazio (7th W16 D7 L12)
Lazio recorded their biggest win of the season on Sunday when the Biancocelesti trashed Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico in a match that ended 6-0 for the hosts.
Miroslaw Klose stole all the headlines with a superb performance at the end of which his name appeared five times on the scoreboard.
Petkovic’s men should not celebrate too much after the win, they are still three points adrift of fifth placed Roma in the final European spot, so they’ll need another victory here against a struggling Nerazzuri side.
Coach Petkovic will probably field the same eleven that started the match against Bologna. Ederson, Brocchi and Mauri are all recovering from injuries and will probably sit out the remaining games.
The Betting Verdict
I can’t remember backing Lazio during this Serie A season when playing on the road and I don’t regret it, their away record (W4 D5 L8 and a -9 goal balance) is quite disappointing for a team with European ambitions.
However, this bet will be more against Inter Milan than for Lazio, I see no reason to back this crippled Inter side that seems to lack both quality and confidence in this period.
Their three man defense with Juan Jesus and Chivu back there is one of the most vulnerable ones in Serie A. Atalanta, a side that has an average of one goal scored per match managed to strike four times at the Sansiro a month ago to secure a 4-3 win.
Inter Milan is coming into this match on the back of a painful 3-1 loss to Napoli with their confidence hitting a new low, whilst Lazio is the side with the momentum despite their poor h2h record against Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza.
