A.S Roma travels to face Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi knowing that they must keep their hopes of playing in the Champions League alive.
Roma managed a 4-0 win over Siena in their last match with Daniel Osvaldo scoring his first hat-trick for the capital side. That win was important as it put them back into contention for a spot in the Champions League and as the difference is six points between them and Fiorentina, they need to win this match to close the gap against tonight's opponents.
Despite losing last season 3-0 to Fiorentina at this venue, however, having won twice already against them this season, Roma will be confident going into this clash. However there are doubts over Daniele De Rossi and Maarten Stekelenburg who are rated as doubtful for this match.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina are in good form and will be confident of pulling off a win as well. Last weekend they beat Sampdoria for their third consecutive win and also four games unbeaten now in Serie A. They beat Sampdoria 3-0 and are putting the pressure on Milan who are above them with just a point.
Vincenzo Montella's Fiorentina side knows they have a chance of playing in the Champions League next season and will look to push Milan for the top three spot in Serie A. They are also hoping history will repeat itself by beating Roma as they did last year and that will help them to wipe out one rival chasing the Champions League spot as well.
Fiorentina does have a good home form - they have only lost once and that too against would be Champions Juventus. Roma will have to produce something special if they hope to get away win all three points.
Unlike Roma, Fiorentina have no major injury concerns however, they will be without the suspended Stefan Savic.
