Otelul Galati is coming into this match on the back of one of the most thrilling Liga 1 games in 2013, which they’ve eventually lost 3-2 in Brasov.
The former champions took the lead in Brasov twice, but because of some sloppy defending they were unable to hold on against a determined Brasov side. All goals have been scored in the first half.

Concordia Chiajna ended a six games losing streak last weekend by holding 6th placed Vaslui to a 1-1 draw, but a point doesn’t change much about their situation, Concordia remains under the line in the bottom four.
Ilie Stan’s side lost some crucial six pointers lately, but luckily for them sides like Viitorul Constanta and Universitatea Cluj are also running poor, Viitorul for example is just one point away.
Concordia’s fans asked for coach Ilie Stan’s resignation during the game against Vaslui, but the former Steaua Bucuresti boss declared that he has no intentions to leave and believes that he can guide Concordia towards safety.
I’m not that sure he will, Concordia’s stats in 2013 are dreadful, they will now travel to Galati trying to avoid a fifth consecutive defeat on the road.
The Betting Verdict
Otelul Galati is still having troubles picking up points when playing on the road, but their home performances improved a lot since Petre Grigoras’ arrival during the winter break.
I’ve backed Otelul to win against Pandurii Targu Jiu (1-0) and CS Turnu Severin (2-0), which both showed a better form than the team that will now visit them, Concordia Chiajna, so I see no reason not to back them again.
The only argument in Concordia's favor would be that they are ind desperate need of points, but that is one weak argument considering the fact that they've lost five of their last six away games after some dreadful performances.
