Venue: "Stadio Olimpico", Rome

AS Roma (6th W15 D7 L11)
AS Roma were held to a 1-1 draw last weekend by bottom placed Pescara which made the Giallorossi slip out of the European places.
The result leaves Roma in sixth place, a point behind Inter Milan. The outcome of the match against Pescara is even more disappointing considering that the Delfini was going into that match on the back of eight consecutive defeats.
Roma’s only goal was scored by substitute Mattia Destro six minutes after the break, but the Italian won’t be able to help out his team this time around, he is suspended for this game.
Coach Andreazzoli will also have to deal with the absence of Tachtsidis, Marquinho and Osvaldo. The latter is just a doubt, he may feature if he’ll recover in time from a muscle injury.
Siena (17th W9 D9 L15)
Siena’s disappointing home form continued last week when they faced Chievo in a crucial match in the battle to avoid relegation.
The Flying Donkeys scored the only goal of the match through Sergio Pellissier which allowed them to open up a 10 point gap over the bottom three and left Siena just one point above the relegation zone.
It was Siena’s fourth home match without a win, a run that could seriously jeopardize their survival hopes in Serie A. They are doing a lot better on the road, but they’ll be facing some tough opponents in the upcoming period.
Siena will travel to Rome without midfielder Alessandro Sestu, which means that the 21 years old Portuguese, Agra will be given a chance to impress at his seventh appearance in Serie A.
The Betting Verdict
Even though Siena is currently one point above the bottom three, it will be difficult for them to maintain their 16th position considering the opponents they’ll face in the last five games (Roma, Catania, Fiorentina, Napoli, Milan).
The Bianconeri will be looking to continue their solid away performances, Iachini’s side scored at least two goals in each of their last three games on the road, winning two of those. I think they are good for at least one goal at the Olimpico against a vulnerable Roma defense.
However, AS Roma must have learned their lesson last week and I think they’ll bounce back with a win after a disappointing draw against Pescara. The Romans underestimated Pescara and that turned out to be costly, but I don’t think they’ll commit the same mistake twice, so I suggest taking AS Roma to outscore Siena here.
