A difficult trip to rivals Catania turned out well for Palermo after Josep Ilicic managed to score a 95th minute equalizer which keeps the Rosanero just one point behind 17th placed Siena.
The defeat at Catania which seemed inevitable at 1-0 down would have left Palermo second from bottom and three points from safety with five more games to play.
It was Palermo’s fourth match without a defeat, the longest unbeaten run they’ve had during this season. Coach Sannino urged his player to give their best in order to extend this run to five games against Inter Milan.
Palermo’s most important players Fabrizio Miccoli and Josip Ilicic are fully recovered from their injuries, but Andrea Dossena will miss this one out through suspension, which means that Santiago Garcia will take his place on the left side of the midfield.

Inter Milan bounced back from two consecutive defeats in Serie A with a 1-0 win at the San Siro over mid-placed Parma last weekend.
The victory lifted some of the pressure off Inter and its coach Andrea Stramaccioni, who believes that it was a result that will give his players the motivation needed to tie down a Europa League place.
Inter Milan sits on the 5th place at the moment, but AS Roma and Udinese are breathing down their neck, so they’ll need a positive result against relegation threatened Palermo.
It won’t be easy though, Inter’s injury list is now longer than ever and the starting line-up from the available players doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence.
The Betting Verdict
Inter Milan with a squad similar to what we’ll see on Sunday at the Renzo Barbera put up a dreadful performance on their previous trip to Trieste where they’ve lost against Cagliari (2-0).
I think Palermo’s got an excellent chance here to record another win over this improvised Inter Milan side, just like they did a month ago against AS Roma (2-0).
Inter’s three man defense looks shakier than ever with Silvestre and Juan Jesus there, so I expect Palermo’s influential strikers (Miccoli and Ilicic) to step up and deliver a solid performance here.
