Even though Manchester United has won the title after they cruised to a 3-0 win over Aston Villa in their last match and Manchester City were beaten by Tottenham, this will still be the Match of the week.
As it is now, Manchester United are still chasing to surpass the Premier League record points haul of 95 secured by Chelsea under Jose Mourinho in 2005, while Arsenal remain locked in the battle for fourth place with Chelsea and Tottenham chasing after them.
Before the match kicks off, Arsene Wenger has stated that his side will give the respect to United and in particular Robin van Persie in the guard of honour as they will give due respect to their former captain and United for being the new Champions.
No doubt that United who bought Robin van Persie from Arsenal last summer and given him the Number 20 shirt to wear, and it is fitting that he inspired the club to their 20th league title. The Dutchman’s influence at United has been nothing short of majestic with 24 league goals so far and a countless number of assists.
His hat-trick against Aston Villa last Monday will now almost assured him of the top scorer award given that Suarez is banned for the rest of the season and will only be back next September after he serves his 10 match ban.
It remains to be seen if Robin van Persie will start the match or even play the full 90 minutes as Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted that Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck could feature.
Arsene Wenger's team have a one-point advantage over the Stamford Bridge side and are two ahead of North London rivals Spurs but it does not look good for the London side if they fail to beat United in this match and Chelsea wins as well as Tottenham, then Arsenal could find themselves dropping down the standings, considering that Chelsea and Tottenham have a game in hands as well.
For the record, Manchester United have won six and lost one of the last seven Premier League meetings with Arsenal as they head into this match as the new Champions.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud starts a three-match ban after his red card against Fulham. Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski are both pressing for a central attacking role ahead of the visit of United.
Meanwhile, Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski (rib) remains sidelined, while midfielder Abou Diaby (knee) is a long-term absentee.

Manchester United are expected to recall Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic to the heart of their defence for this match. Jonny Evans and Phil Jones started at the back against Aston Villa, but Evans picked up an injury, while Jones is expected to move into midfield after Michael Carrick also suffered a knock against Villa.
