AC Milan welcome the visit of Catania to the San Siro and they will be looking to get back to winnings ways after failure to win in their last three matches. Massimiliano Allegri's side is losing their chance of finishing in second place, but what is more important is they must make sure that they do not lose their third spot which is in danger of being overtaken by Fiorentina who is just a point behind.
Their recent poor run started when they drew with Fiorentina, despite being two goals up at one stage. The same thing happened with Napoli when it ended in a draw and last weekend they lost to Serie A leaders Juventus going down 1-0.
As a result of those three games, their chances of finishing second is very slim now. With Fiorentina a point behind them, they cannot afford to drop any points or else they could lose their third spot which comes with it Champions League football next season.
Meanwhile Catania heads into this match with just one win in five games and three consecutive draws. But, Rolando Maran’s side still retain hopes for European football next season with just five points separating them and Inter, who is holding the last spot for the Europa League spot. However, Maran will be forced to make changes as a number of their first team players are unavailable.
For the record, Catania have not won in this fixture since 2007.

Milan will have to make do without captain Massimo Ambrosini and Christian Abbiati after the pair suffered injuries against Juventus. Also out will be Cristian Zapata through suspension. But they will be able to welcome Mario Balotelli after he had served his two match suspension. His return could help their attack that was missing against Juventus in their last match.
Catania Team News :
Giuseppe Bellusci, Nicolas Spolli and Mariano Andujar are all suspended while Pablo Alvarez and Mariano Izco misses out with injuries. Sergio Almiron and Marco Biaganti are in a race to be fit before kickoff.
