After beating Inter Milan 3-2 in midweek in the Coppa Italia to set up a final meeting with Lazio, Roma returns their focus on Serie A where Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli is hoping to keep the job permanently rather then on an interim basis.
Roma's win over Torino last Sunday winning 2-1 ended their run of two games without a win and they are now tied with Roma on 51 points as they aim to finish in the top five of Serie A.
Andreazzoli does have problems in midfield for Roma. The likes of Daniele De Rossi, Miralem Pjanic and Alessandro Florenzi are all injured. Veteran Simone Perrotta is likely to come in, while Marquinho will move into midfield from full-back. Also, Nicolas Burdisso and Federico Balzaretti are also suspended.
Pescara, meanwhile have not won in their last 8 matches coming into this match. They are having a poor season as they lost their key players who took them to Serie A and it was always going to be difficult in the top flight. They also had poor singnings in the transfer market and frequent managerial changes haven't helped, and they lacked the motivation to compete at the highest level.
Coach Cristian Bucchi has done his best to form a team with the players available to him and they certainly gave it all against Juventus and Siena. And going into this match, Bucchi will have to cope without a number of players missing. Giuseppe Sculli is suspended, while Juan Fernando Quintero, Gaetano D'Agostino, Per Kroldrup, Luciano Zauri and Antonio Bocchetti are all injured. Mervan Celik, who scored as a substitute against Siena last weekend, is expected to start this match.
But with Pescara having collected just eight points away from home which is the lowest in Serie A, go for Roma to win this match and give the 2 balls away.
