Match Preview :
Arsenal travels to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in a London derby, hoping to get the win and reclaim third spot from Chelsea.
Arsene Wenger's four match winning streak came to an end when they could only managed a draw with Everton in midweek at Goodison Park. As it stands now Arsenal are fourth in the standings two points clear of bitter rivals Tottenham, but they have played a game more than their north London neighbours.
The Gunners are in good form having lost just once in their last 11 games and they are just a point behind Chelsea going into this match.
Meanwhile, Fulham are sitting in tenth spot on 40 points and looks to be safe from the threat of relegation. Having been beaten by Chelsea in midweek, they will be keen to avoid another London derby defeat this time at the hands of Arsenal.
The Cottagers will be glad to know that they are unbeaten in their last four Premier League meetings with Arsenal and they earned a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Emirates earlier in the season. However, Martin Jol does not have a very good record against The Gunners as he has won just one of his 10 Premier League meetings with Arsene Wenger(L4 D5)
Team News :
Fulham Team News :
Fulham winger Damien Duff is again set to miss out for the home side with an adductor strain. He also missed the defeat against Chelsea.
The good news is that Steve Sidwell is available again to face his former club after serving his three-match suspension.
However, midfield duo Ashkan Dejagah (ankle) and Mahamadou Diarra (knee) are sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Arsenal News :
Arsenal will again be without goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski because of a cracked rib which means that Pole Wojciech Szczesny will get the chance to reclaim the number one jersey again, while midfielder Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) faces a fitness test.
Meanwhile, left-back Nacho Monreal is pressing for a start after being named on the bench for the last two games. Lukas Podolski is also hoping to start this match, but midfielder Abou Diaby (knee) is a long-term absentee.
