Match Preview :
Even though QPR cannot yet be relegated this weekend mathematically, but with just five games left and 10 points away from safety they know their fate is sealed to the Championships next season.
Since the start of the season, QPR have been in the drop zone, but for their opponents Stoke they are enduring a dreadful run who even though are in mid-table could be dragged into the relegation battle.
Stoke have picked up just five points since the start of the year after a miserable sequence of results and are now just three points clear of 18th-place Wigan, who still have a game in hand to play.
However, Tony Pulis side is not pressing the panic button and is not calling this match a must win match yet insisting that the Potters just need to find two wins before the seasons ends. And the visitors will fancy their chances against QPR considering that their rivals Sunderland, Aston Villa and Wigan all look in good form of late.
Meanwhile Harry Redknapp knows that due to injuries and individual errors have been their main downfall this season. However, they have been competitive at Loftus Road, losing just one Premier League game there so far since the start of 2013.
If QPR can keep up that form going against Stoke on Saturday, that could also pull Stoke into the relegation battle come end of this weekend.
Team News :
QPR Team News :
Bobby Zamora misses out as he will serve the second game of a three-match suspension following his red card in the draw at home to Wigan Athletic.
In attack we could see Loic Remy as the lone striker, although Jay Bothroyd, who has scored three goals in his last four games, could join him in attack if Harry Redknapp dcides to go for a 4-4-2 formation.
Left-back Armand Traore is hoping to be involved at some stage after shaking off a calf problem.
Stoke City News :
Stoke winger Matthew Etherington is doubtful for this match. The 31-year-old missed last Sunday's defeat at home to Manchester United after suffering a back injury in the defeat to Aston Villa.
Marc Wilson could also return to the squad, while manager Tony Pulis is hopeful those with slight knocks will be fit for the clash.
