Match Preview :
Hull enters this match knowing that they can seal automatic promotion if they can get a win and Watford fails to beat Blackburn tomorrow.
However if they are to achieve the win they will have to do so without injured midfielder Robert Koren against Bristol City at the KC Stadium on Friday night. The Slovenia international missed their last match on Tuesday in their defeat to Wolves with a calf injury and is unlikely to be fit for this match.
Striker Jay Simpson replaced Koren in midweek, but midfielder Tom Cairney provides manager Steve Bruce with the other alternative option. The host will also be without midfielder Corry Evans who sits out the second of his two-match ban after reaching 10 yellow cards. They received a boost when they defender Paul McShane returned to the substitutes bench at Molineux and he hopes to feature tonight. Initially the Irishman was expected to be out for the rest of the season when damaging ankle ligaments last month.
Other then that, Matty Fryatt is hoping to start once again. He was on the bench last weekend against Ipswich after a a season-long Achilles injury and made his second league appearance of the season on Tuesday against Wolves.
Meanwhile, Bristol City lost their last match 1-0 against Birmingham City, and with that defeat they have been relegated to League One. Nevertheless they will come into this match with the news that they could have the return of influential midfielder Marvin Elliott.
However, the likes of centre-back Liam Fontaine and midfielder Stephen Pearson are both doubtful for the trip with ankle injuries while upfront, striker Ryan Taylor is still feeling a little discomfort with his collarbone and is unlikely to be risked.
Also, Jon Stead and captain Cole Skuse are still out of this match but youngster Wes Burns could make his second appearance of the week after being recalled from his loan spell with Forest Green.
