Real Madrid hammered Levante 5-1 in their last league game but still have a bit to do to secure 2nd place as Atletico Madrid are not far behind them. Mourinho's men have just got back from a tough match in Turkey, but after being drawn with Borussia Dortmund and then watching them win yesterday 6-1 in the Bundesliga, I expect them to want to make a statement here against a depleted Bilbao side.
Straight off the bat, the 1.57 currently available on Madrid to win looks a great single for the day to go a bit heavy on, but I'm going to try and suggest something with a bigger payout. Madrid have won 14 of the last 15 meetings with Bilbao, totally dominant, and the last 2 trips here have seen them win 3-0, so consider that correct score bet here again if that's your thing.
Athletic Bilbao have scored just 34 goals through 30 games, conceding 53. They stand 14th in the league, and are just off a 2-1 loss to Seville. Real Madrid are now on a run of 8 league games without defeat, their best run this season. So there is better form there, not to mention a fit side, even if some players are rested for a bit.
