Palermo and Siena meet in Sicily in this relegation battle at the bottom end. These two teams, together with Pescara, have been long at the bottom end. With the gap between all three of them and safety at five points, the opportunity to get a win against another relegation rival is something neither team will not want to miss.

Therefore, if Palermo wants to get out of relegation they need to start winning their matches, especially at home - starting with the visit of Siena.
For Siena, despite their poor position in Serie A, they have actually played well this season. If you do not take into account the six point penalty, they would not be situated in the bottom three now.
Despite beating the likes of Lazio as well as Inter Milan, they have now suffered back to back defeats. Last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at home to Atalanta left Coach Beppe Iachini feeling unhappy with how his team performed.
He was upset at how the team conceded so early in the game and just lost their focus and concentration as well as a calm state of mind to play a good game. While Siena's home form has been reasonable, it is on their travels they have struggled this season. They have managed just six points on their travels this season, which is the lowest in Serie A. Worst of all for them is that they have not won away from home since defeating Inter, in September.
For the record, when they met last season at the Renzo Barbera, Palermo won 2-0.
