Match Preview :

This will be the match of the week in the Barclays Premiership this weekend as Liverpool play host to in form Tottenham at Anfield. Liverpool will aim to stop Tottenham who will want to stretch their four match winning run as they look to close the gap to Manchester City who are not playing this weekend due to the FA Cup.

Andre Villas-Boas' have been the talk of the Premiership of late due to their hot streak of late that have put them in third spot in the Premier League, five points behind second-placed Manchester City and two ahead of London rivals Chelsea.

Tottenham won again in midweek which came in the Europa League on Thursday night as they beat Inter Milan 3-0 in the first leg at White Hart Lane, extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to eight, while they have lost just one since mid-December. That win came on the back of victory in last weekend's North London derby, when they saw off neighbours Arsenal 2-1 in a fourth straight league win.

Liverpool knows they cannot take Tottenham for granted but after managing back to back wins leaving them seventh in the table and within touching distance of sixth-placed rivals Everton, they will go into this match confident they can get all three points.

The Reds, who beat Swansea and Wigan, mean Brendan Rodgers' men have lost just one of their last six league matches going into this Super Sunday showdown with Tottenham.

This match will also see two of the Premiership's hottest strikers since the start of the year taking on each other as Luis Suarez of Liverpool and Gareth Bale who is making headlines comes face to face with each other.

No doubt Bale has hit the limelight as he just can't stop scoring netting 10 in his last eight games for the club in all competitions, while his league count stands at 16. He will face the League's top scorer in Luis Suarez, who has scored 21 goals this term as Liverpool's star man, including a hat-trick in the 4-0 thumping of Wigan last weekend.

When the two sides met earlier in the season, Bale was on target tehn, although it was into his own net, but he had earlier scored in the opening hlaf together with Aaron Lennon for a 2-1 win.
And if Bale does score in this match against Liverpool, then he will set the record of becoming the first Tottenham player to score in six successive Premier League games!

Team News :

Liverpool Team News :
Striker Daniel Sturridge and defender Martin Skrtel will both return from injury for this match.

Midfielder Mousa Dembele is expected to be fit despite coming off in the second half of the match with Inter while Emmanuel Adebayor will return to the squad after recovering from a knee injury.

Tom Huddlestone (knee) and Clint Dempsey (calf) are doubts, but Younes Kaboul and Sandro is available for selection after recovering from knee injuries respectively.
