Frustrating St. Johnston. They blew a late lead last time out at Dundee in a game they should have won, and the 2-2 finish blew our bet on them. They will fancy their chances here at Hearts, because their hosts are on a terrible run, losers of 5 straight games!
St. Johnstone may have ballsed it up against the league's worst team, Dundee, but Hearts aren't that much better, sitting 2nd from bottom. This is a huge chance for St. Johnstone to make amends, and the game is very much winnable, despite being an away match.
Of course, with the recent h2h showing just 3 wins in their last 9 meetings with Hearts, it's understandable why the Saints are priced at 3.02 to win. Still, there is value in that, considering the spot, which is that Hearts are spiralling badly and that is always a good time to bet against a bad team.
Hearts, as I said, have lost 5 straight, and having conceded 13 goals through those games, close to 3 per contest, they have very much deserved it. That horrible defence is the reason why I feel this game is not one they can win.
THE BETTING VERDICT
THe price on the away win is massive value, considering the spot, where the Saints had victory sewn up only to blow it late. That means we should get them in a more focused situation, committed to not blow the game again. I think they win here 2-1, so you could either take both teams to score, or go for the big payout on the away win.
