Blackpool

Blackpool lost 2-0 at Leeds midweek to leave themselves in 15th place. 11 points off the top 6 is a huge so there is a lot of pressure to kick start their season and make a late push for the playoff places.

New manager Ince has seen his side lose their last 2 league games to nil. 4 losses in the last 6 overall isn't great and it seems unlikely that they will finish in the top 6 given their current slump.

At home Blackpool beat Millwall (2-1) in their last home game to end a winless run of 5 games. 3 losses in the last 5 isn't a decent return but 2 wins in 13 is a poor conversion when playing at home.

4 of the last 5 home games have seen both sides scoring. Blackpool has scored in 10 of the last 11 home games but only once in 5 have have they scored 2 or more. 5 goals against in the last 3 is a concern as all of a sudden Blackpool can't keep sides out.

Leicester City

Leicester City lost at home 1-2 to Charlton midweek to dent their promotion push. Currently in 5th place they trail the automatic places by 9 points but have 2 games in hand on those above them.

Pearson's side have lost the last 2 league games but before this run they won 5 in a row and remained unbeaten in 6. This is too good a side to keep the slide going and I see them very much in the top 3 mix come May.

Away from home 1 loss in 4 isn't bad form. This proceeded back to back away losses so the side knows how to rediscover their form. The pressure is on having lost back to back games so we will see if Leicester is able to bounce back once again.

Leicester has scored 1 goal in each of their last 3 away games. However, the last 3 before that they failed to score so it's hardly prolific scoring. At the other end , 3 clean sheets in 4 is very good so 1 goal often is enough for the visitors.

Betting Verdict

I'm backing Leicester City to win this game via the asian market. With the draw onside I don't see the visitors losing 3 straight overall.

Leicester have lost 1 of 4 away games but do not score a lot of goals which is a concern. The hosts have lost the last 2 and 4 from 6 so their confidence can't be great.

Blackpool are good going forward but will find it tough against this defence. They also have struggled in their last 2 games to find the net so maybe their attack is a touch over rated at the moment.

The visitors keep clean sheets on their travels and with Wood in the side they always look threatening. A 1-1 draw is a runner but but with the draw on side I don't see a home win so I'm happy to side with Leicester City.
