Manchester United welcome Reading to Old Trafford for the fifth round of the FA Cup. The draw for the quarter-finals has already been made and should United see off Reading then there is the prospect of a home clash with reigning champions Chelsea or Middlesbrough, but United must first make sure they do not slip up against Reading tonight.
Sir Alex Ferguson is set to rest a number of first team players but has made it clear he would love to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2004, as United set their sights on getting the treble this season. Reading's priority no doubt remains Premier League survival but a shock cup win over United would be a big boost for them travel to Manchester un decent form, apart from the 2-1 defeat to Stoke last time out, Reading had previously been on a six-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.
The last time these two sides met at the Majewski Stadium, United came out 4-3 winners.

Reading manager McDermott will make late checks on Mikele Leigertwood and Jimmy Kebe, both of whom are carrying knocks and are not fully fit. Striker Jason Roberts (hip) and goalkeeper Alex McCarthy (shoulder) continue to recover from their injuries. However, forwards Adam Le Fondre and Noel Hunt are back in contention after coming off the bench in last week's Premier League defeat at Stoke.
