BETTING PREVIEW
I'd love to say this will be an Atletico Madrid win, but they've really lost my confidence with their last few performances. They were beaten 2-1 by Rayo Vallecano, and then bizarrely they again lost 2-0 at home to Rubin Kazan in a match I thought they would win comfortably.
The manager pushed the keeper to go up and abandon his net, leading to Rubin's 2nd goal, but still, to not score was bizarre. They may be on the road, but following a disappointing couple of games, the team will expect more from Falcao in this one, as he has been their engine and chief goalscorer the last couple of seasons.
Valladolid have actually won 6 of their last 8 home meetings with Atletico, but the last time Atletico came they won 4-0 (albeit a few years ago). The last meeting was this season at Madrid, where they beat Valladolid 2-1, and that may be a scoreline we see repeated.
It's not often the team sitting 2nd don't score, and I expect them to bounce back from those defeats with at least a decent effort in front of goal. Valladolid have not been beaten in 2 games, but they have conceded 2 in that span.
Valladolid are 11th, but have been allowing more than a goal per game, conceding 29 through 23 games. I would go against them, but Atletico have also conceded exactly a goal a game and I'd rather not start betting on them until they show me some proper results first.
