BETTING PREVIEW
Almost no one will be watching this match, but I doubt it will be boring. All eyes will be on the mouthwatering match between Real Madrid and Manchester United, but I think the goals may come even quicker in the match involving the Ukrainian and German champions.
Borussia Dortmund suffered a bit of a shock loss on the weekend. I did say I expected them to be a bit distracted but they must have been thinking about little else as they lost, at home to Hamburg 4-1, with Lewandowski sent off too! Anyway, the team had been banging in goals with ease in all the previous matches since the restart in January, so I have faith they will at least score.
Now Shakhtar have not played a proper game in 2 months, because of the way the season is scheduled in their country, just friendlies. The previous Champions League games saw them blanked and beaten here by Juventus, but able to score 2 to beat Chelsea 2-1. They had some goalfests in other games, losing 3-2 at Chelsea and beating Nordsjaelland 5-2.
I think Dortmund, being the attacking team they are, are going to pour forward looking for what could be a killer away goal. From what we've seen, they might leave themselves open to counters though, and Shakhtar are well equipped to capitalise, especially at home. They too will want goals, because there is a very distinct possibility they get blown away when they travel to Dortmund.
THE BETTING VERDICT
Tempted to go with Dortmund to win. Like in the PSG match yesterday, I expect an away win, or at least the visitors to avoid defeat. But, this looks like it will be a very open team with both sides happy to try and outscore each other. I think we could get a 1-2, 2-2 or even 2-3 type result, so the Overs is what I will go with.
