PREVIEW
I feel as if QPR could well nick this home game against Norwich City. In their last 4 matches, QPR have kept clean sheets to deny Manchester City, Tottenham and West Brom even a goal, picking up 4 points.
QPR were able to blank Chelsea in a famous win at the Bridge. That defence is looking sharp, even if they are not scoring a bunch themselves, and if they can keep another clean sheet, I think they can edge it. QPR should be able to score in this one, because Norwich City have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 45 games away from home.
Indeed, Norwich have lost their last 3 games away from home, most recently letting in 5 at Anfield! Up front, they seem to be pretty toothless in away games, netting just 11 goals in their last 45 away games in the league!
The h2h shows Norwich have avoided defeat in their last 6 meetings with QPR, but earlier this season, at home, they could only get a 1-1 draw with the west London team, that is now much improved.
I don't think QPR are going to allow Norwich to score once, let alone twice. The worry is the QPR offence, because despite the results, they have scored just 1 goal in their last 4 league games, which gave them a win amidst 3 albeit impressive draws. They are scoring less than a goal per game, and that puts me off having a bet on the home win.
BETTING VERDICT
QPR are looking nice and fighty sincy Redknapp took over. Under his management, they've lost just 3 games, and the results against the big boys, Chelsea, Tottenham and champions Manchester City are going to come in handy when the final tally is made. Those are games they should have lost, yet they have 5 precious points to show.
Norwich worked hard in midweek against Tottenham, a game they should have won. On the road, they will come out a bit flat and QPR will be all over them.
The defence should be able to stifle Norwich too, especially now Chris Samba is in the team, helping them get even tighter. I see this ending either 1-0 or maybe 1-1, so will suggest you have a bet on the Under.
