Fulham
Fulham won a big London Derby midweek defeating West Ham (3-1). The win puts Fulham a healthy 8 clear of the drop zone and into 12th position.
Jol's side were on a poor run of 1 win in 7 league games before their midweek victory. This team has struggled in recent months winning just 4 games in 4 months going way back into mid October. Fortunately for them the sides below have struggled even further and a mid table finish looks likely for the West Londoners.
At home Fulham are unbeaten in 2 games, losing just the once in 5. 2-2-1 is the form guide over this period which shows that this is a tough team to beat at the Cottage and they won't lay down for United.
7 of the last 8 home games have seen both sides scoring as Jol's men struggle to keep the opposition out. Wednesday's 3 goals scored is their tally of 2 goals or more at home for 3 games and you'd think they need 2 to take a point in this one.
Manchester United
Manchester United trailed after 3 minutes at home to Southampton only to storm back and win 2-1. The gap at top of the tree is a massive 7 points and it's hard to see anyone catching the United juggernaut at present.
Ferguson's side are 12 games unbeaten now winning a staggering 10 of these. 2 draws in 27 league games shows how the side pushes until the end looking to win games and this one on Saturday will be no different.
Away from home ironically United have 2 draws in the last 3 at Swansea (1-1) and Tottenham (1-1). However, their last league away draw was at Chelsea last February virtually a whole calender year ago.
10 of the last 11 United games they have found the net on their travels. However a negative is that during this run the defence has only kept 2 clean sheets. Fulham scored 3 at home midweek so they will certainly fancy their chances of scoring at least 1 on Saturday evening.
Betting Verdict
I like Manchester United to win this game. I'm reading that key player Berbatov is out injured and given United beat this Fulham side 4-1 only a week ago in the cup with him this should be another United victory.
Generally United don't draw too many games and it's hard to see Fulham keeping up with them in term of goals. Rooney, RVP and Hernandez are scoring for fun at the minute and now Fulham lose their top scorer.
The away win is a little too short to take so it's the Asian line for me. The line is -3/4 which means we win half our bet if United win the game by 1 and in full if they win by 2 or more.
A scoreline of 1-2 or 1-3 appeals here as I predicted against Southampton. Normally Fulham gives United a game at home but without their captain and United in red hot form there's only 1 selection here.
Good Luck
