Catania just recorded their second away victory of the season as they eased past struggling Genoa in a 2-0 victory at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
It was their second consecutive victory which keeps them in touch with the top seven places and also keeps the hope of a European spot finish, but it will be difficult to climb in the table with Roma or Milan in front.
They did beat Roma on their previous game at Stadio Angelo Massimino though, where the home side has been dominant this season holding a 7-2-2 record.
However, it will be difficult to improve that record against a solid Fiorentina side without three key players, as Almiron, Lodi and Bergessio have all been ruled out.

Fiorentina dropped to the 5th position after a disappointing run, they’ve failed to win any of their last three matches in Serie A, only picking up a point in these games.
It was the home game against second placed Napoli that ended a two game losing streak, but it still wasn’t a satisfactory result for the Viola fans, not after that dreadful performance from the Pescara game (0-2).
Coach Montella has most of his squad available, but the problem is that playmaker Pizarro may not be at full fitness yet and that surely affects their game.
The Betting Verdict
Catania is in a great form, but they will be without some key players, so I can understands why Fiorentina is considered favorite here in the bookies eyes.
However, Catania rarely loses at home, their unity is probably more important than some individualities, so this could very well end in a draw.
It’s difficult to pick a winner in this one, it could go either way so I’ll take both teams to score, Catania scored at least once in five of their last six home games, so anything over 1.7 looks good to me.
Fiorentina have failed to score in their last three visits to Catania, but they did score at least once in every one of their away games in Serie A this season and with Jovetic and Toni in front I would be surprised to see the home side keep a clean sheet.
