Bayern Munich came back from the break and picked up yet another 3 points, with a clean sheet, beating Greuther Furth 2-0. That takes them to 45 points, and well clear in 1st place behind the chasing pack. Another 3 points looks more than likely here, as they have already thrashed Stuttgart 6-1 this season!

Stuttgart were beaten 2-0 at Wolfsburg last weekend, a bad return to league action. The 10th placed team have won just 7 games this season, as many as they have lost, and have let in 30 goals through 18 games, a lot more than the mere 7 Bayern Munich have conceded.

Up front, it's just about a goal per game for Stuttgart, scoring 21. They're likely to be outscored heavily, as Bayern have banged in 46 already. Stuttgart will be trying to boost their confidence with the knowledge they have won their last 2 home games, winning 2-1 against Koln in the Cup and 3-1 against Schalke. However, one of those is a lower league opponent and Schalke were terrible all round in December, so I'm not giving them a chance here.

It's not a question of whether Bayern win, it's how much they will win by. Last year Bayern faced Stuttgart 3 times, winning 6-1 and 2-0 at home, while picking up a 2-0 Cup win here in their last visit. The last league visit came in 2011 which was just a 2-1 win, but given their form this season it's hard to see them fail to score a bunch.

I thought Bayern looked a bit off last week as they scored just 2 goals, but the defence was superb as usual, and they could get a clean sheet here again. However, I'll allow for a goal from the home team, while expecting at least 3 from an offence that will surely do better than last week when they were playing just their 1st game after the break.

I think we can go with the AH in this one and expect the leaders to win by at least 2 goals.
