Lazio kept their unbeaten start since the start of 2013 when they managed a draw against Juventus in midweek in the Coppa Italia.

And since going down to Catania 4-0 at the start of November last year, Lazio have not lost in all competitions - that is a run of 16 matches.

Coach Vladimir Petkovic will be aware of what is at stake and is expected to name his strongest side, even though he has the second leg with Juventus to come in the Coppa Italia. But Chievo who has games against Juventus and Inter to come, will want to avoid defeat in this match.

For the record last season it ended in a goalless draw and Lazio have drawn five of their last six home matches against Chievo in all competitions.

Top scorer Miroslav Klose is still injured, together with Ederson and Marius Stankevicius. Lorik Cana is also banned, but Andre Dias should start this match.

Christian Puggioni will start this match as first choice goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino close to completing a move to Palermo. New signing Felipe Seymour, who arrived from Genoa this week, could also start but Bakary Drame, Luciano and Perparim Hetemaj are all out injured.

Meanwhile, striker Mamadou Samassa is also unavailable, as his represents Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations.
