The reigning champions have had a stuttering start to the 2012/13 season, but everyone believes the caged lion has just been released.

This team has to be buoyed from coming back from 2 goals down to win 3-2 at home against Melbourne Heart. Particularly impressive was the resurgent Jeremy Brockie, with a penalty and a superb strike.
The game changed once Solomon Island International Benjamin Totori was included at the predictable 60th(ish) minute.
Although Totori is yet to score this season, opposition teams get bamboozled by his pace, and defenders throw themselves at him recklessly, leaving other players free.
The defence is slow, but reliable, Dani Sanchez’s injection in the midfield is critical to getting a result.
The Phoenix do not have a great record against the Roar, and this encounter might not change history.
