Accrington Stanley
Accrington Stanley lost 1-2 to Rotherham also at home in their last league game. Stanley sit 3 places and 3 points behind their opponents on Sunday and need to start winning before the top 7 gets away from them.
Richardson's side have just 1 win in the last 6 league games and that's a big concern. 3 of the games have ended in draws and you have to go back to the end of October for their last win in 7.
Away from home the side is unbeaten in 3 games now drawing 2 and winning the other at Fleetwood (1-3). Accrington Stanley are building some momentum at the moment on the road and it's saving them from their poor home form.
Accrington Stanley were shut out in back to back away games before scoring 4 in the next 2. Hopefully for them they are now back on track goal wise and they should have success against the Burton defence. At the other end 1 clean sheet in 8 games isn't ideal as the home sides are averaging exactly 2 goals against them over this period.
Betting Verdict
Burton Albion are favourites to win this game and that's right but to see quotes of evens baffles me. The side has won 4 of the last 8 at home but I'm not sure how they will react following their loss to lowly Aldershot here last time out.
The visitors haven't lost in 3 away games and we must respect that. A draw looks a real runner in this game but for me both to score is the obvious bet.
Burton have had this happen in 5 of their last 7 at home whilst Accrington Stanley have seen both score in 6 of the their last 8. If Aldershot can score here then I fancy the in form Stanley to do so.
However, they just don't do clean sheets and it's tough to see the hosts going 2 home games without a goal. Burton haven't gone 2 games without a home goal and I fully expect 1 on Sunday.
