Torino (14th W3 D7 L5)
Torino kept it close in the derby against Juventus last weekend, but after central defender Gilk was sent off they didn’t really stood a chance and the Bianconeri capitalized on the numerical advantage to collect the points.
Il Granata are now heading into another difficult fixture against a recovering Milan side and will be trying to avoid their fourth defeat in five Serie A matches.
This poor run could be explained by the fact that they had to play three of their last four games on the road. At home Torino has been decent lately, beating Bologna and sharing points with in-form Fiorentina.
According to gazzetta.it Di Cesare is favorite to replace Gilk in the middle of Torino’s defense, even though he only had two appearances in Serie A this season.
AC Milan (7th W6 D3 L6)
Massimiliano Allegri rested some of his regulars on matchday six of the UCL since Milan already booked a place into the knockout stages of the competition and Zenit took advantage picking up three points at Sansiro thanks to a goal from Danny.
Milan has a lot to make up after their disastrous start of the campaign, but it looks like they are on the right track having won against Juventus and Catania recently.
If Allegri’s side manages to pick up three points in Torino, it would be the first time of the season when Milan would make it three in a row.
They’ll have to do it without Montolivo and Boateng though, the first one is recovering from an injury against Catania last weekend, while Kevin-Prince will have to serve a one match ban.
The Betting Verdict
We should see a whole different AC Milan side on Sunday compared to the one we saw against Zenit in the midweek, Yepes, Nocerino, Robinho and of course Serie A top scorer El Shaarawy will all return to the starting line-up.
Torino is a hard nut to crack, but they are really struggling at the moment and it will be difficult for them to keep out a Milan side that has been getting better and better lately.
Being down in the first half then coming back in the second to pick up the point or points has been quite a pattern lately for Milan, they did it against Catania last weekend to win the game and also came back from two goals down to draw against Napoli and Palermo on their previous trips.
You could try a small bet on the HT/FT market where Milan is at 30.00 to win it after being down in the first half or 15.00 to see the same scenario only with a draw at the end.
I will keep it simple though and take Milan here to win their third Serie A match in a row against a struggling Torino side that already lost three times at home this season.
