Match Preview :
Manchester United will want to keep their lead at the top of the Premiership when they play host to West Ham tonight.
Manchester United has developed a bad habit of going behind only to claw themselves back and win games as they did against Queen Park Rangers when they went a goal down only to come back and win the match 3-1.
No doubt the three goals scored in eight minutes secured a 10th league win of the campaign for United, but it was the ninth time this season in all competitions that Sir Alex Ferguson's side had to come back from behind to win a match.
And the last time Manchester United met West Ham they had to overturn a 2-0 half-time deficit to run out 4-2 victors at Upton Park thanks to Wayne Rooney's hat-trick.
Wayne Rooney has an impressive goal scoring record against The Hammers as he has scored seven goals in his last four games against them. Meanwhile, strike partner Robin van Persie has scored four goals in his last four starts against Sam Allardyce side.
United can also look to Javier Hernandez as he is in form. To date he has scored eight goals in eight games. The Red Devils are seeking their eight consecutive win over West Ham going into this match.
It has to be said that Sam Allardyce's side missed the chance to climb up to fifth after losing 3-1 at Tottenham on Sunday. Nevertheless they have done well considering it is their first year back in the Premiership. Andy Carroll scored his first goal for West Ham at the weekend and he will be test the United defence that has kept only two clean sheets in the Premier League this season.
