I think it will be a case of the Saints going marching on, with Southampton having won 2 straight games against QPR and Newcastle following a draw with Swansea.

Nigel Adkins Southampton side also have their first clean sheet of the season, a welcome thing considering their 30 goal allowance in the 12 previous matches. Norwich may well be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I smell a letdown here after what has been a cracking 7 game unbeaten run for the Canaries.

Southampton have no trouble scoring against Norwich, scoring exactly 2 goals in each of their last 5 matches, winning 2 and not losing any. It's also the number of goals they scored against Newcastle. Indeed, even as they failed to win games in a poor start to the season, they kept the goals coming, and have scored in all but 2 of their 13 games so far.

Norwich become a hard team to bet against without study because all anything will think about is those 1-0 wins over Arsenal and Manchester United. Impressive yes but they were both at Carrow Road. It's much harder pulling that off on the road against an offensively adept side such as Southampton that has the taste of blood now and wants more.

Away from home Norwich have draws in recent games, at Villa, at Reading and most recently at Everton, where they lost their keeper John Ruddy to injury. That is a huge blow for a side that has remained unbeaten in recent matches not because of a deadly offence but because of a stifling defence that is built around huge performances by Ruddy. Without him, this is a side that could well let in 3 before we get to HT.

Most will be watching Grant Holt but the Norwich striker has not scored in a few games now and I think it might be better to put your faith in Lambert to open the scoring for a reinvigorated Saints side that look bloody good value for the win.
