PREVIEW
The value has gone a bit as Stoke's price has dropped all the way to even money, but I think we can still find a good price by putting our faith in Stoke's tighter than a gnat's arse defence, which has conceded only 11 goals this season, but just 1 at home!
Newcastle's fixture schedule is taking their toll on them, having to play in Europe is not easy and they are struggling there too. Either side of a 1-1 home draw with Maritimo are 3 straight Premier League losses, to West Ham, Swansea and Southampton. The most recent was away at the Saints, where they went down 2-0, and I think a loss here looks likely.
Stoke, as I said, have conceded just 1 goal at home and that was to Manchester City, who they held to a draw. While Newcastle were losing to nil in their last game, away, Stoke were winning their last home game to nil, 1-0 over Fulham. Before that, they beat QPR here by the same score.
Demba Ba is probably the only real threat in a Toon side that is now without Cabaye and Arfa, as he netted a hattrick here last year, but Stoke are now on a 13 game streak that has seen them avoid defeat in front of their fans. Crouch has already scored a few goals for Stoke and he always seems to pop up with big performances and important goals in the big matches, such as this one.
The defence will play a big part in this, and I am tempted by the "Unders" and "Both Teams To Score - No", but I think it's best to marry the belief that Stoke will eke out a win, and that the defence will hold strong against Newcastle's flagging and weakened attack.
BETTING VERDICT
The safer option is Stoke to win, but I'll try and squeeze some mileage out of this bet and take them to win this match without conceding.
