Preview

These are two teams in contrasting form coming into the game as the Minnesota Timberwolves (5-7) visit the Sacramento Kings (4-9). The Timberwolves have faced a number of injuries this season, but are beginning to get healthier, although that hasn't seen a change of fortunes in their recent results.

Minnesota have lost their last 5 games and 6 of their last 7 coming into this one and they are facing a Sacramento team that has won their last 2 home games to snap a poor run of form.

Tyreke Evans has been showing a lot for the Kings in recent games and his form has helped propel the team to surpassing the 100 point mark in their last 3 games and the fans will be expecting they can do that again in this one. That will be down to the fact that Minnesota have allowed 101.5 points per game in their last 4 games as the Defense has certainly slowed down.

The Timberwolves will still me missing Chase Budinger, Brandon Roy and Ricky Rubio in this game, while the returning Kevin Love has just struggled with the protective mask over his hand.

Love admitted that the protection is distracting and that he has come back two weeks earlier than the doctors wanted him to and that his conditioning will still be worked on. Love is still averaging 24.3 points per game this season in his three games back in the line up, but he was restricted to just 15 in his last outing and we may not see the best from the All-Star until next month.

Minnesota have just been off the boil at the moment and Sacramento are playing with a lot more confidence so I like the chances of the Kings to win this game.

The point spread is 1 as the Kings are not the most trustworthy team in the NBA, but back to back home wins, and 3 solid outings should give them confidence to take another home win.
