Queens Park Rangers come into this match with the unwanted record of having collected four points after 13 games which is also the worst ever start in the Premier League history.
They have suffered nine defeats in 13 games and remains the only side without a win this season. However QPR Chairman Tony Fernandez has brought in Harry Redknapp hoping he can perform a Houdini like escape for them.
However, Sunderland will be hoping that Redknapp's first match in charge will not be a pleasant one as they are also in dire need for the points going into this clash.
The Black Cats were beaten by West Bromwich Albion 4-2 last weekend where there was even talk that Martin O'Neill had quit his managerial post.
Nevertheless O'Neill is still in charge of the team but he will be aware of the need to avoid back-to-back defeats on home soil and start getting wins. At the moment there are just two points separating them with the relegation zone.
The focus will be on Redknapp no doubt as he needs 7 points to climb out of the relgation zone and every match will be like a final to them.

Lee Cattermole and John O'Shea are out injured after the clash with WBA and they will not be expected back so soon. Cattermole aggravated a knee complaint and limped out of the action midway through the first half, while O'Shea suffered a calf strain and did not return after the break.
The problem for O'Neill is findign a replacement for O'Shea. The fact that Wes Brown and Titus Bramble are also out injured it does not make things any easier for the manager.
QPR Team News :
Redknapp will be able to call upon captain Park Ji-sung as he returns to the side from injury. He was unable to recover from a knee problem to face former club Manchester United last weekend but is now back in time for this clash.
Jose Bosingwa is also available after the virus from last weekend but the likes of strikers Bobby Zamora (hip) and Andrew Johnson (knee) are long-term injuries.
