Match Preview :
Newcastle United starts this match as favourites against West Ham when they take on Londoner in the second Super Sunday clash at St James' Park.
The Magpies can go above the Hammers with a win and Alan Pardew's side have every reason to be confident ahead of the clash, having been beaten just three times this season - by Manchester United (twice) and Chelsea.
However, Newcastle have not had a good build up ahead of this match after just returning from a 2-2 draw with Bruges having played in the Europa League and will be without the suspended key duo of Cheick Tiote and Fabricio Coloccini.
That will encourage West Ham that there is hope of getting a result here and manage Sam Allardyce will be aiming to build on the good goalless draw achieved against Premiership Champions Manchester City in their last clash.
West Ham have found winning on the road hard to do - as the Hammers have won just three of their last 41 Premier League away games.
But having said that, Sam Allardyce has won his last four matches as a Premier League coach against Newcastle, including the two games since they fired him in January 2008.
No doubt forSam Allardyce, and former Newcastle players Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan it will be a special moment as they are going back to St James' Park and would just love to beat them.
Team News :
Newcastle Team News :
The home side will miss the services of Cheick Tiote and skipper Fabricio Coloccini who are both suspended for receiving red cards. James Perch is also out and Danny Simpson remains a doubt so Alan Pardew has problems at the back.
However having rested the likes of Jonas Gutierrez, Demba Ba and Hatem Ben Arfa who did not play against Club Brugge in midweek, they will be fresh for this tie.
West Ham United Team News :
The Hammers are checking the fitness of James Collins and James Tomkins to see if they can start this clash. If both are unfit then the visitors will be forced into a reshuffle with Winston Reid the only fit replacement to come in at centre back.
The likes of Jack Collison (knee), Matthew Taylor (calf) and Ricardo Vaz Te (shoulder) remains out but right-back Guy Demel returns to training following his hernia problem.
