Match Preview :
Manchester United will visit Aston Villa with only one aim and that is to come away with three points and keep their lead at the top of the Premiership.
After beating Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford last weekend, the Red Devils went top of the Premiership and stayed there after Chelsea only managed to come away with a point against Swansea.
Manchester United now have the chance to increase their lead at the top for at least 24 hours as both Chelsea and Manchester City do not play until Sunday.
Sir Alex Ferguson side have won eight of their 10 opening games this season, and only Tottenham and Everton have beaten them to date.
The Red Devils will no doubt be boosted by their midweek win over Braga in the Champions League after they came back from a goal down to win 3-1 and to secure their spot in the last 16 of the tournament.
Manchester United also travel to Villa Park in the knowledge that they are unbeaten there in 16 Premier League games, coming away 1-0 winners in last season's fixture thanks to Phil Jones' winning goal.
Aston Villa have won one of their last 33 meetings in the league against Manchester United, so manager Paul Lambert will face a difficult task in this match.
Villa are in 17th spot after a poor run of results and are only just four points clear of relegation going into this match but they did manage back to back wins - in the Capital One Cup (League Cup) over Swindon and in the league when they beat Sunderland last weekend.

Central defender Jonny Evans is Sir Alex Fergson's main worry ahead of this clash. Evans has a niggling groin problem, which could mean Ferguson choosing to push Chris Smalling into his second game in four days after playing for them in the Champions League in midweek.
The likes of Nani (hamstring) joins Shinji Kagawa, Phil Jones and Nemanja Vidic (all knee) are all out of this match.
