Parma was close to an important victory over at Genoa in the midweek, but Alessandro Lucarelli’s first half goal was cancelled out by a late penalty taken by Boriello after a foul committed by the same Lucarelli.

The draw leaves Parma with only one win in five games, they currently sit on the 13th position with five points to their name.

Donadoni’s side is finding in difficult to score goals, maybe it has something to do with Sebastian Giovinco’s return to Juventus following a season-long loan at Parma. Amauri is now Parma’s best hope, he made his first appearance this season against Genoa and he might start from the beginning for the first time against Milan.

Parma will be without Jaime Valdes through suspension, while Fabiano Santacroce and Rafaelle Palladino miss out through injury.

Milan

Milan’s victory over Cagliari on Wednesday evening was their first at San Siro this season, with the club making their worst home start to a campaign for 82 years.

The win may have saved Allegri’s job, he was under huge pressure before the game following all those poor results. However, he came through against Cagliari, but he’ll have to continue with the victories in order to be safe.

There are still numerous absences at Milan, but the good news is that Robinho and Pato are back to training even if they won’t be able to play from the beginning against Parma.

Boateng and Zapata could, they’ve served their suspension, but the first one may be left out after some poor performances lately. Zapata should partner Yepes in the center of the defense.

The Betting Verdict

Parma lack of efficiency is likely to continue against Milan, Allegri will field a powerful team with three defensive minded midfielders (Nocerino, Ambrosini and De Jong), so there won’t be many spaces for Parma to create a lot of opportunites.

Pazzini, Emanuelson and El Shaarawy will be responsible with scoring goals, the first and the latter have scored three goals each and they both showed a great appetite for goals lately.

AC Milan have won their last four matches against Parma in all competition and that among other factors make them favorites, despite playing at Ennio Tardini where getting points is always a hard task.

Milan has a good record there, they’ve only lost once since 2006 and won four of the last six fixtures. A low scoring draw is always a possibility, but Milan should edge this.
