Manchester United welcomes Tottenham to the Theatre of Dreams and the visitors have a dreadful record at Old Trafford having failed to register a win there since 1989 when Gary Lineker scored the winning goal for them. Antonio Valencia is doubtful after he suffered a nasty knock on his ankle at Liverpool last week. Sir Alex Ferguson will be having a headache in defence as club captain Nemanja Vidic underwent knee surgery on Tuesday to rule him out for eight weeks.
Meanwhile, Phil Jones (knee) and Chris Smalling (broken metatarsal) are still on the sidelines which means that Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans are United's only fit central defenders.

Brad Friedel will return in goal after Carlo Cudicini took over for the midweek Capital One Cup win over Carlisle. Hugo Lloris will be on the bench and defender Kyle Naughton could return after missing last week's win over QPR with a foot injury. The likes of Emmanuel Adebayor (hamstring), Scott Parker (Achilles), Jake Livermore (groin), Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul (both knee) are missing for the visitors.
