Huddersfield Town may have lost Jordan Rhodes to Blackburn Rovers, but that seems to have galvanised the squad who have rallied together and put together a sequence of results that has sent them steaming up the table. Not many would have tipped Huddersfield to be the best of the League One promoted sides, but Simon Grayson has them working wonderfully well together at the moment.
A 1-3 win at Bloomfield Road on Monday night has enabled Huddersfield to leapfrog the likes of Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers and they are now 2nd in the Championship and just 2 points behind the leaders Brighton. They have a 2-1-0 record at home this season, scoring 4 goals and conceding just 1.
The side are now unbeaten in 6 games in the Championship and they have won 4 of the last 5. Huddersfield have won their last 2 home games in the League without conceding a goal since a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest and they have now only lost 2 of their last 11 here.
Watford
The off-season was a strange one for Watford as they were taken over by the Pozzo family who also own Udinese. That meant a new manager was put in place, namely Gianfranco Zola, and they were loaned a huge number of young players. As expected, the side have a number of inconsistent results that come with wholesale changes in the terms of management and personnel and Watford are unlikely to be challenging for promotion.
In fact, the fans might be fearing yet another battle with relegation as they are 20th in the Championship table and have only picked up 7 points so far this season. Watford are 1-0-2 away from home, scoring 5 goals and conceding 9.
Watford had lost 4 in a row in all competitions and 5 of their last 6 before snapping those runs with a 2-2 home draw against Bristol City last time out. They have lost their last 2 away games in the Championship, being thumped by Derby County and a close loss at Bolton Wanderers. Before these back to back losses, Watford had been unbeaten in 8 away games in the Championship going back to last season.

Prediction
Watford are one of the teams that seem to get involved with high-scoring away games and I think this could be the case again on Saturday despite the back to back clean sheets Huddersfield have earned at home.
The last 5 away games Watford have played in the League have all ended with at least 3 goals scored and they have only failed to score in 1 of their last 13 away from home in the Championship.
Watford haven't defended much better in recent away games, conceding at least 2 in 5 away games in a row.
Huddersfield should be able to take advantage of any errors at the back in this one as they have banged in 11 goals in their last 5 League games and are clearly full of confidence.
The over 2.5 goals option is being offered at 1.95 in this game and that isn't much shorter than the home win and I think it offers us some value as Watford are more dangerous than people may think. At the end of the day, Huddersfield Town will need to score twice, in my opinion, if they want to win this game so I'll take the overs here.
