Chelsea have not allowed Stoke to score here at the Bridge in the last 4 meetings. Stoke have lost 8 of their last 10 meetings with Chelsea, home or away, and drawn the other 2. Don't get me wrong, Chelsea will probably win, but Stoke look like they will have a say in it. Stoke have not won yet in 4 games, but they've taken a point from every game, including draws with Arsenal and most recently Manchester City, the reigning champions. That isn't easy to do.

There are far too many stats going around that suggest Stoke will not win, or fail to even score here (they have scored just 3 Premier League goals in 8 meetings with Chelsea) but this season they look able to frustrate Chelsea, who are not perfect at home. Let's no forget that one of those opening 3 wins was a 4-2 edging of Reading, a team that has only just come up from the Championship.

And of course there is the Champions League factor. While Stoke have been resting since last Saturday, when they were at home, holding Manchester City to a 1-1 draw, Chelsea then had to prepare for a Wednesday night clash against Juventus. That incredibly hard fought game ended 2-2, but it puts Chelsea in 2 bad situations that are great to play against.

Firstly, there is the fatigue factor, from having just 2 days of rest from late Wednesday night. Secondly, there is the letdown factor. Had Chelsea beaten the Italian champions they would be buoyed. But they didn't. They scored 2 quick goals on the half hour mark but gave one back within 5 minutes and 10 minutes from time Juventus made sure they had levelled. That was very much 2 points lost for Chelsea at home, and I think there will be a hangover from that.
